Hello 2008!

Here are some of the pictures from my sweet pregnant friend. I took these a few weeks ago, but I am just now posting them. This couple is so sweet. You can tell by their pics that they are so in love. Please let me know what you think...I still have so much to learn...

I am looking forward to the new year as I do every year. I know it sounds so cliche but I love the idea of fresh starts. I have so many things that I am excited about in the upcoming year.  One, no two things are at the top of my list. We are expecting twins in July!! Most of you already now this, but for the rest of you...surprise. I do have an update about it running in our family. I had no idea until this past week but, Jason great-great grandfather was a twin. That's quite a stretch but, there is a set in our family. We are so excited!!! Our friends and family have been so wonderful already. My friend Fran has already offered her twin stroller and my other friend in North Alabama:) is saving a few things as well. Thanks yall!

I hope you all had a great Chirstmas! We had a great one and were able to see some family members that we haven't seen in a long time. We had a great time and I missed them when we left.

Pregnancy update: I have never been this tired or nauseated...but there are two good reasons for it! As the ultrasound lady said..."Baby A" and "Baby B". We are still thinking and praying about names. Oh yeah and I already have a baby belly:) 

Happy Day before your Birthday JB

Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday. He is getting a few presents that his boys picked out ( with my help) and a card from JT that says Happy Birthday Daddy Smith! Isn't that cute?

tea soup

Here is something funny that I did today that may make you feel better about yourself.  I made a bowl of soup for 1st lunch ( it was only 10:30am) and then I needed to make some tea. I set the bowl of soup on the counter to cool and I poured water over the tea bags ( you know to get all the flavor out of the tea bags) I went to pour it in the tea pitcher and my 5 year old JT asked me a question and as I was answering I poured the tea right into the soup. The bad part was that I just kept on pouring it right in without thinking anything about it . I finally ran out of tea and looked down at my soup bowl and realized......tea soup!!! AGHHH! I was so desperate for soup that I poured all the liquid out and added some tomato soup and water and reheated in the microwave. NOT BAD!!! My kids had a good laugh when I told them what I had done. I got the soup all to myself because they thought it was soooo groooossss. Puuulllleeezzee. They eat dirt outside!!!

Okay, we went to our bible study today and the Children's Program had a Christmas Party. Lots of candy and cookies. By the time I picked my kids up, I thought KW, my 3 year old looked a little tired and pale, but I just figured it was all the sugar. Then, we got home and they begged me for a bite of their huge hershey's bar...a gift from their teachers. So, they smacked down some chocolate and then I realized they had not even had any real food. So we sat down and ate some lunch..I wasn't surprised when KW woke me up from my nap later and said that his stomach hurt. Thinking it was just the candy, I got up and we sat down to watch a video. I opened my new beautiful MacBook Pro to check my email and a hurl of mixed candy and cheese cubes flew right past it . YUCK!!!!! My cell phone was covered along with KW, the producer of the hurl. But, at least Mackie was fine. Now we are cleaned up and sitting with a big bucket...just is case. I bet this is one of those posts you wish you never read!!! 

Since this is a photo blog...

Today was great. May wonderful husband let me sleep until 10:30. I am only 6 weeks pregnant but already taking advantage of as much sleep as I can. I went to a friend's baby shower today. It really made me look forward to welcoming our next little one.  She is such a joyful person, the kind of person that makes you feel encouraged when you are around them. Well, since I did start this blog to journal about life AND photography I guess I need to get moving and post some photos. I had fun taking these! They are from the baby shower today.

I will be doing a shoot of the mother and father next week.
